Token Tuesdays with Colin: Blue Dream

When crossing the Blueberry indica strain and the legendary Haze sativa strain, you get an absolute amazing hybrid called BLUE DREAM!!! This strain is as good as it sounds. Every aspect that you look for in a sativa and a indica strain is within this strain. This type of hybrid is considered a sativa dominate. What that means is, when you smoke blue dream you get the euphoric creativeness that you would from a normal sativa but also, you get the relaxing pain relief that you would get from a normal indica. Patients that suffer from pain, depression, or nausea love this strain because normally they would have to smoke a heavy indica to relieve the threshold of these symptoms. Which usually make you very tired and unmotivated. But, because blue dream shares the best of both worlds, it doesn't make you drowsy but still gives you the pain relief with the desired motivation. A great strain to have in the morning with your cup of coffee.

Have an awesome week!!!! Peace -Colin

Token Tuesdays with Colin: Green Crack

This strain is the one that everyone brings up when they try to nay-say marijuana. In no way at all does Green Crack have anything to do with real crack or even butt cracks for that matter. This strain was originally known as "Cush" and hit the scene in the early 90's in SoCal. Somewhere in its travels thru California, Cush got sold to Snoop Dogg and his crew. Its said that Snoop Dogg took a few hits of Cush and said that he was going to call it Green Crack for now on because of how quickly it hits you with energy and how much he just wanted to keep smoking it. This strain is a fantastic morning weed. It gives you every benefit of caffeine and gives you a lot of creative juices. Artist tend to keep Green Crack around cause of how well it helps to break through creative barriers. A great med for anyone who needs motivation, stress relief, anti-depression and pain relief. This is one of the most sought after strains out!!! Have a hazy week ya pot heads! -Colin

Token Tuesdays with Colin: Trainwreck

TRAINWRECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I. Fa-king. Love. This. Strain!!!! Seriously tho, one of the best scented and best tasting types of marijuana in my opinion. If you are looking for a cerebral “head high”, as the kids are calling it these days, this is a perfect strain to pick up. Trainwreck has been a household name for us marijuana abusers for decades now. I’m sure if you said the name “trainwreck” around your hippy parents, they would know exactly what you’re talking about. Besides giving a crazy awesome head buzz, this strain is great for patients that suffer from depression, anxiety, appetite stimulant, cramps associated with PMS, RLS, DDD, nausea, muscle aches, and eases pain from nerve damage. I personally have found myself leaning towards this strain whenever I’m in need of a pick me up. It helps take a bad mood and turn it right around. It’s also great to smoke during the day because it gives you a euphoric state of mind with a high amount of energy.

Smoke em if you got em boys and girls! Have a gnarly week!

LAMBS BREAD

Two weeks ago I had no idea what Lamb's Bread was until this amazing strain came around and blew my mind. As soon as I ripped into the bulk bag, a sweet earthy pungent smell sneaked into my nose and I felt as if I've found true love. This super sativa has an instant euphoric feel, leaving you with an abundance of creative and inspirational thoughts. Lamb's Bread origins come out of Jamaica and is said to be a favorite of Bob Marley. Lamb's Bread is an amazing strain to have around when you have been feeling down in the dumps. Its a major mood booster. Lots of laughs are packed into this fantabulous strain.

THE WHITE

image.jpg

The White is that kind of strain that you smoke once and fall in love with. I know people that won't even touch other strains cause of how much they love The White. This strain is claimed to be an indica dominate hybrid. You would never know that is its a hybrid unless you looked it up tho. It is a knock out bud. I will leave you feeling STONED COLD! If you needed help sleeping or with any pain, I would highly suggest The White. After the first three to four hits of this strain, you feel like you are on a cloud for hours. The white is not related to White Widow at all. There also is a strain called The Black which is on the sativa side of the fence. Keep it smokey!!! -Colin

RD350

image.jpg

So this isn't my usual chopper/Harley rant but a few weeks ago I met up with a new friend and he introduced me to the greatness that is known as the RD350 I just can't get over how cool a 2 stroke street bike is! Sean Byers basically completely rebuilt this orange RD and it's sooo rad!

image.jpg

After I realized how cool these bikes were I did what every self respecting motorcycle fiend does...try to find one for sale. Nothing yet, but while looking I did find this awesome RD that Brew Bikes put together for the ton-up show at sturgis.

Odd Side Ale's El Dankerino

A lot of people try to mimic the bold style of a west coast IPA, and few get it right. Odd Side kind of nails it. As far as I'm concerned, it's the mid-west equivalent of Pliny the Elder. Had that beer before? Think my claim is ridiculous? Suck it. I've done the taste test and they're not far from each other. Dankerino is a juicy double IPA with notes of citrus, pineapple and a nice pine bite. Just bitter enough but still smooth drinking. Packs a sly punch at 10% too. The name just seals the deal for me. It really is a "dank" beer and the artwork is great. OVER THE LINE!

Max Schaaf runs 4q conditioning out of oakland california. Max is a pro skate boarder, gnarly painter, and excellent bike builder. This dude has built so many killer bikes but the blue knuckle above is one of my favorites, my other is the black 4q knuckle with the twisted pipes. The best thing about Max's bikes is that they get ridden! He's made multiple trips across the country on his bikes. Go check out 4q you won't be disappointed.

Southern Tier's Warlock stout

All pumpkin everything. So, I already covered Pumking, why not keep it going? All you pumpkin haters can suck it, don't drink it if you don't like it. Still haven't gotten your fix? Southern Tier offers another pumpkin-packed brew for your throat hole. This time, a stout. Expect big, bold flavors commonly offered by Southern Tier. Don't leave out big abv's. Dust off those ugg boots because it's time to get white girl wasted on the tasty fall nectars. There isn't much to say separate from what I had said on Pumking, just this time it's darker, more bold and still delicious. This treat comes in 22oz bottles only or draft if you're lucky. Pair it with some chilly ass weather and your favorite boo thang. Cheers, babes.

Leiknes Oils

This week, I'm taking my WCW Post in a different direction.. A more creepy, nightmare evoking direction, with Leiknes Oils,

Jed Leiknes is an incredibly talented Painter and Tattoo Artist, of all things gory, creepy, decaying, and beautiful.

Jed splits his time between Skin Prints Tattoo Shop, traveling to Tattoo Conventions, and his creepy clown ridden basement in Eau Claire, WI. But regardless of his canvas, Jed produces surreal, dynamic, stunning works of art.

View current prints and products, or contact Jed for a commission (if you're lucky enough to catch him while he's taking them) here.

Papa Glide

image.jpg

The papa glide was built for born free 6 by the dynamic Detroit duo Ry seidler of RAS and Brad Richards The Zen Of Neato. This beautiful 58 pan head has so many incredible details that took hours and hours to fabricate. The headlight nacelle sets of the front end, the shifter in the tank blows my mind, and the exhaust and rear fender are so killer. This vintage sport bike inspired chopper esque machine along with the guys that built it are putting Detroit on the motorcycle map.

New Belgium Lips of Faith - Le Terroir

I always want to talk about sour beers every chance I get. I love them. So if you're new to the craft game you've no doubt heard of Fat Tire. It is literally everywhere. Upon tasting your first Fat Tire, you may or may not guess that this brewery has an insane number of tricks up their sleeve. New Belgium's Lips of Faith series has an incredible roster of amazing brews, including some of the best sour, barrel-aged beers I've ever had. One of my favorite beers ever being Le Terroir. This wild ale has a light crisp, easy drinking body but is nicely dry hopped with Amarillo hops for a peachy finish and a touch of Citrus because it's an amazing hop. Having a champagne-like essence this beer is fine on it's own or paired with tons of meats and cheeses. Of course, it wouldn't be surprising that New Belgium's sour program was so good if you had known their head brewer was from a brewery called Rodenbach. If you're familiar with what they do, it all just makes sense. This beer is released once a year and it just came out so go wherever finer beers are sold and just buy up as much as you can. Cheers!

Double Diamond

Tom Fugle Is one of the most bad ass guys to live this chopper life. Tom has been building and riding choppers for the last 50 years and at 72 he still rides rigid bikes. His latest creation is the Double diamond that he built for born free 6. This panhead is other worldly from the engine to the frame to the iridescent multi spectral paint Tom created. At born free 6 the Double Diamond won its self and Tom a trip to the moon eyes show in Japan. a well deserved honor for one of the pioneers of custom Harleys and choppers in general. Just so you know what this guys all about ill leave you with this quote "I love to build and ride choppers, as it is an expression of my art. I guess that's because I've always been artistic. I feel that those who ride stock bikes must be autistic. So what I'm trying to say is; "Ride choppers or fuck off!"

Founders Mosaic Promise

Mosaic Promise is a simple beer. But that's not to say that it is simple in flavor. From just one hop and one malt (golden promise), this beer delivers some great flavors. Light-medium body. Super easy drinking IPA. Mosaic hops are a hybrid style that blends the citrus hop with the simcoe hop. It's one of my favorite styles and flavors and the fact this beer isn't over slammed with different malts, it really does show off the hops profile. Everything keeps simple with a 5.5%abv and bitterness right down the middle at 50 IBU. This is a one off brew, which is pretty common for Founders and other micro breweries, so cram it down your face hole as much as possible. This beer though, should have come out two months ago. Would have made a great mowing the lawn beer. Cheers!
