Token Tuesdays with Colin: Blue Dream

When crossing the Blueberry indica strain and the legendary Haze sativa strain, you get an absolute amazing hybrid called BLUE DREAM!!! This strain is as good as it sounds. Every aspect that you look for in a sativa and a indica strain is within this strain. This type of hybrid is considered a sativa dominate. What that means is, when you smoke blue dream you get the euphoric creativeness that you would from a normal sativa but also, you get the relaxing pain relief that you would get from a normal indica. Patients that suffer from pain, depression, or nausea love this strain because normally they would have to smoke a heavy indica to relieve the threshold of these symptoms. Which usually make you very tired and unmotivated. But, because blue dream shares the best of both worlds, it doesn't make you drowsy but still gives you the pain relief with the desired motivation. A great strain to have in the morning with your cup of coffee.

Have an awesome week!!!! Peace -Colin

Token Tuesdays with Colin: Green Crack

This strain is the one that everyone brings up when they try to nay-say marijuana. In no way at all does Green Crack have anything to do with real crack or even butt cracks for that matter. This strain was originally known as "Cush" and hit the scene in the early 90's in SoCal. Somewhere in its travels thru California, Cush got sold to Snoop Dogg and his crew. Its said that Snoop Dogg took a few hits of Cush and said that he was going to call it Green Crack for now on because of how quickly it hits you with energy and how much he just wanted to keep smoking it. This strain is a fantastic morning weed. It gives you every benefit of caffeine and gives you a lot of creative juices. Artist tend to keep Green Crack around cause of how well it helps to break through creative barriers. A great med for anyone who needs motivation, stress relief, anti-depression and pain relief. This is one of the most sought after strains out!!! Have a hazy week ya pot heads! -Colin

Token Tuesdays with Colin: Trainwreck

TRAINWRECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I. Fa-king. Love. This. Strain!!!! Seriously tho, one of the best scented and best tasting types of marijuana in my opinion. If you are looking for a cerebral “head high”, as the kids are calling it these days, this is a perfect strain to pick up. Trainwreck has been a household name for us marijuana abusers for decades now. I’m sure if you said the name “trainwreck” around your hippy parents, they would know exactly what you’re talking about. Besides giving a crazy awesome head buzz, this strain is great for patients that suffer from depression, anxiety, appetite stimulant, cramps associated with PMS, RLS, DDD, nausea, muscle aches, and eases pain from nerve damage. I personally have found myself leaning towards this strain whenever I’m in need of a pick me up. It helps take a bad mood and turn it right around. It’s also great to smoke during the day because it gives you a euphoric state of mind with a high amount of energy.

Smoke em if you got em boys and girls! Have a gnarly week!

LAMBS BREAD

Two weeks ago I had no idea what Lamb's Bread was until this amazing strain came around and blew my mind. As soon as I ripped into the bulk bag, a sweet earthy pungent smell sneaked into my nose and I felt as if I've found true love. This super sativa has an instant euphoric feel, leaving you with an abundance of creative and inspirational thoughts. Lamb's Bread origins come out of Jamaica and is said to be a favorite of Bob Marley. Lamb's Bread is an amazing strain to have around when you have been feeling down in the dumps. Its a major mood booster. Lots of laughs are packed into this fantabulous strain.

Peace&Love -Colin

THE WHITE

image.jpg

The White is that kind of strain that you smoke once and fall in love with. I know people that won't even touch other strains cause of how much they love The White. This strain is claimed to be an indica dominate hybrid. You would never know that is its a hybrid unless you looked it up tho. It is a knock out bud. I will leave you feeling STONED COLD! If you needed help sleeping or with any pain, I would highly suggest The White. After the first three to four hits of this strain, you feel like you are on a cloud for hours. The white is not related to White Widow at all. There also is a strain called The Black which is on the sativa side of the fence. Keep it smokey!!! -Colin

THE MITTEN

It's coming whether we like it or not. That old-ass bitch, winter. I often like to stave off the brutal Michigan chill with beverages of the higher alcohol content variety. Including barley wines, quads and every once in a while, a cider. Hard ciders are gaining popularity at an insane speed here in the US and people are going nuts for them. Whether you think you have a gluten intolerance(you don't) or you just simply don't like beer, ciders are becoming the choice for a lot of people now. One cider I had tried last year simply blew me away as I had never heard of ciders being made this way. Aged in whiskey barrels. And why not? Beer is. Mead is. Virtue cider out of Fennville, MI makes tons of great ciders, but The Mitten just does a mouth good. A blend of seasons past ciders and fresh pressed cider brings not only tartness, but the unique qualities a whiskey barrel can impart. Vanilla, caramel and hints of oak mix with sweet and sour aged and fresh apples. It's one of life's perfect marriage of flavors. Pair with friends and fires. Oh, and donuts. Cheers!

Koenigsegg One:1

I'm stepping outside of the box with this week's #wcw feature, to bring you my ultimate crush --besides Alexander McQueen like, always..

The Koenigsegg One:1 Sweden's 280 MPH Carbon Fiber Hypercar

The name One:1 comes from the power (1360 PS) to weight (1360 kg) ratio giving the car 1 PS per 1 kg weight. The 1360 PS power output is the equivalent of one megawatt, which Koenigsegg is claiming makes the One:1 the ‘World's First Megacar."

The One:1 is equipped with a variant of the same 5.0-litre Twin Turbo Charged Engine, used in the Ageras. The One:1 boasts a phenomena 1,360 horsepower at 7,500 RPM, and 1,000 NM (737 lb ft) of torque from 3,000 until 7,500 RPM. The total weight of the engine is only 434 lbs thanks to a the Carbon Fiber Intake Manifold, and Aluminium Construction. The transmission is a 7-speed Dual Clutch Paddle Shifter.

Koenigsegg is only creating six, uniquely developed and designed One:1 Models (all of which have already been purchased.) This is one of the most exclusive production car programs ever conceived.

Now, I promise that I'll be back to crushing on all things fashion next week..
Or maybe not, I mean, I am a Motor City Girl after all...

xo,
Sar

BEAN FLICKER

I like my blondes like I like my coffee... tasting like coffee. Bean Flicker by Odd Side Ales is sure to blow your mind a little. It's a blonde ale so it's translucent yellow in color but when you put it in your mouth your pallet is overcome with coffee. I don't know how they did it, but I'm glad they did. They removed all the gut heavy weight of a coffee stout but left the flavor and shoved it into a sessionable, easy drinking blonde. Perfect for a summer day and easy on the alcohol. Smooth on the pallet with light carbonation. A nose of vanilla, almost brownies. Pair this beer with more of these beers. They're tasty as hell. Cheers!

EVIL TWIN'S NOMADER WEISSE

Finally a style that's slowly becoming more easily available. The Berliner Weisse. A beer native to Germany, this is a funky take on a wheat beer (weisse). Light in color, cloudy and best of all, sour. Usually a Berliner will vary from light tart to that back-of-the-mouth sour bite you get chomping into a fresh granny smith apple. Typically, in this beers homeland, it is sweetened with a raspberry or woodruff syrup but this hasn't even come close to catching on in the states. Evil twin has decided to create a most easily drinkable Berliner that, while still having an abv of 4%, is still packing that great sour punch. The 6 pack of cans may be my favorite container to face delivery method. Found wherever specialty beers are sold. And as always, if you can't find any of these beers I review, don't hesitate to ask your favorite local beer store. More often than not than can get what you need. Cheers!

Bandit Brand

No trends forecasting, no seasons, no cares of what's "hot" or "in style". Just plain ol vintage style tees, made to beloved by their owner's.

These tees are probably best worn while watching Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," riding off into the sunset on your '75 Honda Cafe Racer, or drinking Cheap Whiskey at your favorite Local Dive.

Regardless of how you don Bandit Brand, you're going to look like one Hell of a Badass.
Go get your Vintage Art, or Hand Drawn Tees and remember... Ladies love Outlaws,

LAGUNITAS IMPERIAL RED ALE

image.jpg

So I don't think I've ever put a review up on an Amber Ale because really, for my palate, not a lot of amber's impress me. They're all pretty basic to the style, which still is of my least favorite. Of course leave if to Lagunitas to make a red so delicious I just had to tell you about it. Still that great bitterness from Lagunitas but also a sweeter, fruity hopiness. Nice, dark copper color and a boozy nose. Great strong malt backbone too. Medium to full mouth-feel. This is also basically a copy of the very first beer from Lagunitas from '93 so it's a time capsule in a glass. At 7.8% abv and only coming in 22oz. bottles this beer will keep you warm in the soon to come colder months. Pair it with the company of your dog. Cheers! -Dave

1876

A few weeks back we had the pleasure of interviewing 1876 front man Fernando Solis. I can say without any hesitation that Solis is one of the most entertaining frontmen we have seen in ages. Solis talks about their current EP, the upcoming festival season, and writing for the new record.

SHORTS SOFT PARADE

Short's Soft Parade. You've had it. Bitches love that shit. Unfortunately, however, they have no idea what they're drinking. They just "want something fruity that isn't really like a beer.". Au contraire, mon cheri, it's still very much a beer you're drinking. In fact, it's a rye beer so it's even more beer than you realize. Included in that rye wort is 200 pounds of pureed strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. On paper this is very much a beer but once it's in your face hole it feels more like a wine. At 7.5% abv this is still a kick in the groin region (that's right ladies, it's no longer 9%). Not the best fruit beer you could come across, especially if you live in the Mitten (the only place Short's distributes their beer to), but it sure is good. Guy's it's okay to order this beer too. Don't worry, you won't ever see your bartender roll his eyes at you. Cheers!
